A View from the North
We don’t get to the north side of Mt. Hood very often, but when we do I find it is one of the best vantage points to capture breathtaking mountain views. It's worth the rough roads to get there. The drive is about 10 miles of rough gravel and the occasional deer crossing. On our way to the hike, we stopped by the historic Cloud Cap Inn which is now operated by the Crag Rats, a mountain rescue organization.
