For over a decade, much of
my work has focused on the treatment and long-term
management of addictive disorders. The Center was
established in 2003 as a clearinghouse for research-based
information about addiction and interventions, and provided
information about my clinical practice when it was active. Today,
it continues to evolve, primarily as a web-based information
source. I am proud that when you Google "addiction
management" my site is number one out of 2,480,000 sites,
and on Yahoo it is ranked number one out of 11,500,000

As a PhD graduate and current Adjunct Assistant Professor in
the Systems Science Program at Portland State University, I
am interested in how systems thinking can assist in solving
complex global problems. This site represents an initial
step towards the creation of a full center dedicated to
applied systems solutions across disciplines.
