For years, my trusted camera was the Nikon FM - fully manual, rock-solid body, just an all-around great piece of equipment. But with the advent of digital photography, I finally realized it was time to move into the future. I originally purchased a Nikon D80 because I owned a couple of nice Nikkor lenses, and had a long and successful history with Nikon. But the camera never made it out of the box before I changed my mind and purchased a Pentax K10D. For the money (about the same price as the D80), it is an amazing camera with features that rival the Nikon D200 prosumer camera. Check out these reviews:

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

This new software (2007) from Adobe is amazing! Designed by photographers for photographers, it has a quick learning curve, is incredibly powerful, and has taken my photography to a new level. Check it out, you won't be sorry. If you are not a fan of Photoshop, don't worry, although it shares the name it is a very different product.
